Some good news! I got the Chocobo done today! I also submitted the survey for review. It should be good to launch on Tuesday. But the survey should launch Thursday at the latest! It’ll be open until July 2nd.

I’ll do my best to finish one more design before the survey launches but I make no promises! These will be available as survey stretch goals. If you haven’t seen them before, BackerKit allows new items to be funding during the survey! Pretty much I’d say, 10 people add on this pin it’ll unlock. If they don’t then you won’t be charged for that specific pin.

Also regarding fulfillment help, unfortunately White squirrel turned out (to my understanding of their quote) to be $5 per order and $0.25 per item. So a 25 pin order would cost $11 for them to fulfill. I’m trying to work out a better system here so there’s no delays but I just wanted to let yall know they’ll still all be fulfilled in house for now! It just may require trying to find an art undergrad to kidnap lol. Craft Quest also offered to drive down to help when the time comes 💕 I could also always employ the Wayward suggested method and find a romantic partner to force to do free labor 😈 (jk, my Ace a** could never). These issues though should be long resolved before these pins are even made, let alone time to fulfill. And while I may chronically run on vibes, when it comes to timelines/operation structures I like to have everything planned and running smoothly. Being a one man operation is brutal sometimes lol.

First things first, I wanted to tease one of the survey unlock pins for yall 💕

Second, I will do my best to get the survey out next week but it may have to be delayed by a few days. This is because I got extremely sick coming back from Akai (swollen shut ear, lymph nodes the size and hardness of a marble, fever, etc etc etc all the fun stuff) and I want to make sure I can deliver the best survey pins I can!! Especially since some of the asks are going to take a bit more mental power (Like the Chocobo because god, birds are so hard for me to draw lol!)

Next, I wanted to poll yall and see how yall feel about me using a third party fulfillment service for this campaign. I was looking into White Squirrel, they’re an artist run fulfillment service. https://www.whitesquirrel.com/about

I know a LOT of other crowdfunding pin and plushie folk use them. 💕


It’ll mean you’ll get the items a lot sooner and I’ll have more time to work on more art, animations, one off comics, and maybe… eventually… set up a vtuber model… I do still have the other 2 artists and my sister in my employ but all the above have their own jobs and obligations that come first. And considering right now I have about 650 open orders, another 92 for helluva portrait soon, and another 400 for this campaign + about 10-20 shop orders a week, White Squirrel could be a huge relief. However, this said, I also know how much I love receiving personalized messages from the artist. I don’t believe either option is wrong. And your vote is anonymous ❤️ regardless I will continue to chat with yall here and as always yall will always be an important part to my process, whether it’s deciding pins or operational decisions! You guys made me who I am today and I will be hard pressed to forget that. What matters to me most is that you all have a safe place here and have fun and get fun shiny things.

Hey everyone!!

First and foremost thank you so much. This has been my largest campaign to date and the support I’ve received has just been amazing and life altering. So I cannot say this enough, thank you.

So what’s next? In 2 weeks I’ll launch the reward survey. I’m still working on new designs that may appear on the reward survey as survey stretch goals. Survey stretch goals on BackerKit work like: I make a design and they unlock if people order say 10 of them!

I’m already getting the molds paid for and made so production should be moving along swiftly. Regarding fulfillment, I tend to lock addresses a little early as I take a while to fulfill orders. This is due to an autoimmune condition I have! However, lately, I’ve expanded the team and I have KatzeKreations, RexusIllustrations, and my sister all helping with order fulfillment! So if you start seeing others handwritings know it’s one of them!

All of the origami birds have been added now! We have Mydei, Phainon, Aventurine, Firefly, Dan Heng, Kafka, Robin, and Acheron!

Also I wanted to attach a poll to figure out who I should be working on for the post campaign survey stretch goals! For this one, just because one pin wins doesn’t mean I’ll make it. But I will try. If I struggle for too long I have to move onto the next one because my schedule is pretty busy 💕

This may be my last update before the campaign ends as I need to finish my Phainon illustration, get 180 forgotten forest orders out, like 50+ normal shop orders out, start cracking down on the 300 adventure buddies orders, prep for a con, get all the helluva portraits into production. Get the second survey for that up for people who had issues with the Kickstarter one because the Kickstarter survey is *awful* and finish trying to get the final plushie prototypes made 😭

Media Monsters 2 will likely come to Pintopia in January so I can make Ita Bags and plushies of some of the monsters! + it’ll be expanding beyond videogames. So animes movies mangas whatever else are fair game!

Trico was such a surprise! I can say I was genuinely pleasantly shocked when they won! The Last Guardian was such a good game and I hope I did the good boy justice.

While the Scratch and the Owlbear cub came second, I decided to make a set for them anyways! Because of their addition I had to make new tiers. If you previously pledges for a full set, you’ll have to change your pledge to the new full set to get scratch and the Owlbear cub. 

They’ve also been added as add-ons and added as their own pledge tiers. I’ll also be working on new pins to add to the post-campaign survey 💕 So be prepared for that! 

Finally, it’s time for the final origami bird pin! I attached a poll below to decide which character gets a bird!
